This week, I had the pleasure of chatting with poet and illustrator Ksenia Sein, who is honestly one of the kindest souls I've encountered within the writing community. Ksenia is here to share with us the deets on her beautifully-written romantic novelette AGAPE & ARES, as well as a few fun facts about herself. AGAPE & ARES is a thrilling and clever romantic story told in a unique, poetic manner. Agape, the novelette’s heroine, is an attractive, mysterious young woman who’s enjoying her holiday on the picturesque Greek island of Santorini. There she meets Ares, a handsome, brooding man with a shady past and provoking manners. Will a romance spark between them? Should it?
Poet Ksenia Sein wrote AGAPE & ARES in an effort to tell the world about the importance of having a positive attitude toward other people. She speaks through her characters in order to encourage people to stop criticizing and blaming others—even if the person in question is a criminal—which she believes would help make the world a better place.
Ksenia lives by The Buddha's motto, which is, “Overcome the angry by non-anger; overcome the wicked by goodness; overcome the miser by generosity; overcome the liar by truth.” She trusts that at the core of all people, whether consciously or subconsciously, we all seek acceptance, kindness, and love.

Denise: Thank you so much for stopping by my blog, Ksenia! Let's give readers a bit of insight into your background and who you are as a writer. First off, how long have you been writing?
Ksenia: As a child, I was far too shy to show others my creative side. I was at primary school when I discovered my passion for writing. Composing essays, stories, and poems was an enjoyable way to verbalize the range of my voice.
Ksenia: Aww, I would tell her: "My sweet girl, please open your table drawer and show the world your talents! Just imagine how many souls you may uplift and encourage!"
Ksenia: A HUG. Hospitable, Uplifting, Generous. 😘
Denise: Very nice. Those qualities definitely shine through whenever you interact with fellow readers and writers, and we all love that about you! So, what can we expect from you in the future?
Ksenia: I’m working on two stories that reflect my spiritual journey — a novelette “Free Camelopard” and a novel “Numbers on the Wall.” Also, children's short stories are on my to-publish list. I hope to share these books with my readers during the coming year.

I literally felt as though I’d been transported to the breathtaking Greek island of Santorini and experienced the intense, passionate encounter between a brooding Casanova with a questionable past (Ares), and a woman on holiday whose soul is pure, understanding, and forgiving (Agape).
What gives this lyrical tome its depth is the creative, unique way in which the story is poetically woven together. The author’s underlying message of empathy, compassion, and humanity makes for a powerful theme. Packed with lovely sketches and impactful prose, this novelette is one that lovers of romance will not want to miss (and I did not want to end!). Ksenia Sein, the author of “Agape & Ares” and “Cruise to Ösel” among other works, lives in Estonia with her husband and their two children. She is an entrepreneur, poet, songwriter, illustrator, and singer.
When Ksenia is not creating, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading books, listening to music, taking care of her plants & pets, baking, and walking in the forest. She grows and plants trees.
