HOMETOWN HOMICIDE is Out Now! (Plus Deets on My FREE Harlequin E-Book...)

Happy September, friends! Today is a good day, because it's my book birthday! 🎉 HOMETOWN HOMICIDE has been released exclusively through Harlequin Books. Keep reading for deets on my latest Intrigue, and how you can get your hands on a free THE HEART SHAPED-MURDERS e-book...
I am so excited for the release of HOMETOWN HOMICIDE, which is Book 4 in my West Coast Crime Story series. This story takes us to the town of Juniper, Colorado, where a former 911 operator turned rookie police officer is unexpectedly thrown into a serial killer investigation.
Here's more on the book:

Can a rookie help a veteran cop catch a diabolical killer?

The hunt for the murderer of two women could be the make-or-break case of Drew Taylor’s career. The veteran police officer has no time to babysit a newbie cop with something to prove. Thrilled to be partnered with the man she has long admired, Nia Brooks pursues every lead…until her life is threatened. And Drew struggles with being protector and partner to Nia. With the sole clue a bloody fingerprint, Nia and Drew race to apprehend an elusive killer who doesn’t fit any criminal profile. But when a hidden agenda starts to become terrifyingly clear…it's Nia and Drew who could become the next victims.

While penning the investigative plot of this book was pretty exciting, I really enjoyed writing my hero and heroine's romance as I rarely create enemies-to-lovers storylines (second chance is my favorite go-to).

In HOMETOWN HOMICIDE, once Drew and Nia are forced to work together, frustration over the town's killer supersedes their burgeoning attraction (even though it's simmering underneath the surface). As for Drew, he is:

💘 A grumpy, sexy veteran police officer
🚨 Heading up the biggest case of his career
⛔ Fighting his feelings for his new partner
🤣 Speaks fluent sarcasm
♍ A loyal, overthinking Virgo (Idris Elba is his birthday twin *swoon*)

Our heroine, Nia, is:

🚨 A rookie cop with something to prove
💔 Drowning in the dating pool
🫣 Hiding a years-long crush on her new partner
💣 Battling her wild child younger sister
♑ A loving, people-pleasing Capricorn (Regina King is her birthday twin)
Here's a murder board I created that Drew and Nia followed during the investigation. If you look closely, you'll see several clues that are planted throughout the book, leading them to the killer.
And here's HOMETOWN HOMICIDE'S dedication. This one went out to my aunts, Sharon and Glenda, who have been so supportive of my writing journey along the way. 🥰
