Most of you know that I love a fun throwback post. Here's my most recent that I've shared across social media. This photo was taken when I was about 10-years old at Seaway Bank and Trust, which was a black-owned institution located on the south side of Chicago. The bank opened its doors in January of 1965, and my mother worked there for years. On this day, a professional photographer was on site snapping employee family photos. 💖 I remember my mom being so irritated because instead of wearing the red turtleneck she'd picked out for me, I showed up in this white blouse lol. It does add a nice pop of brightness though, doesn't it?? But anyway, speaking of my mother...
She and I recently hosted a summer soiree for my aunts (her sisters). Glenda (far left) was in town from New Jersey, and we had a ball eating, drinking, and catching up before watching The Blackening. My mom is in the middle, and my other aunt, Nett, is to my right. Oh, and that's my sister, Rhonda, lurking in the background lol. Hopefully we'll all get together again soon to celebrate Christmas. 🎄
