Happy September, friends! Can you believe that fall is already around the corner? I can't! But as always, I'm looking forward to the cooler months, and of course, the holiday season.
Today, I am excited to share with you several updates on THE HEART-SHAPED MURDERS, as well as give you the scoop on the book's latest promo run. Keep reading for deets!
One morning last month, as I was putting the finishing touches on Book 3's proposal for my West Coast Crime Story series (MURDER AT VINCENT VINEYARD), an email popped up on my computer screen. It was from my editor, letting me know that THE HEART-SHAPED MURDERS had been included on BookBub's list of "buzziest" romantic suspense novels to hit shelves this year. I was absolutely thrilled!
That same day, I also signed a 3-book deal with Harlequin Intrigue and received the fab cover for my upcoming Christmas thriller, BACKCOUNTRY COVER-UP (reveal coming soon). Needless to say, that was a good day!

With Covid taking over our lives for the past couple of years, many of us have turned to Zoom in order to communicate with colleagues, loved ones, potential love interests, etc. When it comes to my readers, I am thankful for it as I've connected with so many people that I may not have otherwise!
On August 14th, I hung out with the wonderful women of the Victorious Ladies Reading Book Club to discuss my very first Harlequin Intrigue novel, COLD CASE, TRUE CRIME. I was so excited to meet the founder of the group, Cassandra Haywood, who I was introduced to by my good friend and fellow author, Jacquelin Thomas. Not only did the book club collectively select COLD CASE, TRUE CRIME as August's Book of the Month, but I was given the opportunity to chat about it, answer questions, discuss all that I've got coming up next, and more. Just in case you missed my last blog post, I participated in fellow author Melissa McClone's Fisher House Tote Bag Reader Giveaway last month, and it was amazing!
